Despite an early disappointment for the home team - Caolan Englefield leaving the field through injury within the first passage of play – it was Gloucester who opened the scoring.

The home team shipped the ball wide from an attacking scrum, sending play to Jack Reeves, on the wing who dived over for the opening try. Lloyd Evans missed the conversion to leave Gloucester head by 5.

A loose ball from the visitors inside Gloucester’s half put the Cherry & Whites on the counter- attack, Jake Morris drawing in replacement scrum-half Matty Jones, who sailed across the whitewash. Will Joseph took advantage of the extra man, scoring the visitor’s second try as half-time struck. Edwards made it two-from-two to put Quins eight-points behind at the break.

The second half started to a looser affair, both teams shipping the ball through the hands, putting pace into the proceedings. It wasn’t, in fact, until the 64th minute until a score was had, Will Edwards slotting a penalty kick. 22-17
