Gloucester Rugby Academy's U16s and U17s teams will be in action this weekend at the RFU Festival at Warwick School.

The U16s will begin proceedings on Saturday 1 April, with the U17s in action on Sunday 2 April.

Back row TJ Fanolua will captain the U17s, who have fixtures against London Irish, Newcastle Falcons and Midlands Central in three shortened format games.

Gloucester Rugby Academy Coach, Matt Teague, says the festival is always a good opportunity for young talent to impress.

"The 17s development squad will be playing London Irish, Newcastle and Midlands Central in 3 shortened format games at Warwick University as part of the annual under 17 RFU Festival.

"Its a real opportunity for the lads to express themselves individually and collectively in guaranteed high tempo games due to the format. It also allows us as a wider coaching group to take a look at the squad in preparation for our upcoming friendly fixtures against Bath and Exeter."

Teague has chosen a squad of 28 for the festival.
