Adding some serious bulk to Kingsholm, Matias Alemanno joined Gloucester Rugby halfway through the 2019/20 season from the Jaguares.

The Argentinian international is a second row who is destructive at the set piece and in the loose. Alemanno scored on his international debut in 2014 and has gone on to earn over 60 caps for his country, the latest coming this summer as part of Argentina’s summer tour.

The first of three Argentine internationals to sign with the Cherry and Whites, Alemanno has enjoyed moving to Gloucester Rugby with his family and his child was born at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in 2021.
