EDF Cup

EDF Cup

The EDF Energy Gloucester Rugby Schools Cup is an annual tournament, for U14 / Year 9 school rugby players. It is a knockout format, traditionally consisting of a Cup, and Plate competition. For the 2023/24 season a Bowl competition has been organised. This will allow more schools an opportunity to take part in finals day which is held at Kingsholm Stadium.

This competition celebrates the vibrant school rugby community in Gloucester and beyond, as well as providing a once-in-a-lifetime chance for young, aspirational rugby players to compete for a place in a Final played at the home of the Cherry and Whites!

The EDF Cup is made possible by EDF Energy, who are proud to sponsor this competition:

“We have a proud record of supporting grassroots rugby and we are pleased to continue to support Gloucester Rugby Community and this tournament. This is a great competition for schools in the area and we wish them well as they battle it out for a chance to play at Kingsholm.”
